Mare performance test |
Benefits
-
Since 2000 the Registry offered Mare Performance Tests
for mares at a limited number of locations.
Starting in 2025 the new Mare Performance Test (MPT) can be done by showing the mare at
at least three recognized shows (see PROCEDURE).
There are several good reasons for mare owners to
let their mare do the Mare Performance Test:
- The mare owner and the registry will gain information
about the skills and abilities of the mare to perform.
- The successful completion of the Mare Performance
Test is one option to receive the third star
for performance of the ISR-Oldenburg Star Award System for Mares.
- Upgrading the mare to the next higher mare book
(e.g.Premium Mare Book mare to ELITE Mare, Main Mare Book mare
to Premium Mare Book):
If the mare has gained sufficient show records for the MPT and
has presented at least one premium foal to ISR/OLD NA. For further
details, check with the office.
- The test certificate and the results (scores) will
not only help owners and riders to get an evaluation far from
barnblindness, the MPT may also help as a neutral validation when
it comes to offer the horse for sale.
Eligibility
-
All four year old or older mares which are registered
with ISR/Oldenburg NA can do the Mare Performance Test. Mares
should have been presented and approved for Mare Book entry before.
Passing the Mare Performance Test does NOT replace the evaluation
process for Mare Book entry.
Procedure
-
The Mare Performance Test requires a mare to be
shown at THREE different recognized shows
either in dressage at at least 1st level with a
result of at least 65%
or in jumper classes at at least 1 meter.
The results of these three shows must be submitted to the registry together with an enrollment form.
Enrollment
-
Mares must be enrolled with the registry.
Retrieve the enrollment form ( PDF
) and send it in with the show results.
